Artist's Comments

This my first try at modeling something in Bryce. It didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to, because of Bryce's limited modeller. I still like it alot though.

This is also my first try at making an electrical discharge in Photoshop. I made them with the help of a great tutorial by ~bml and added some of my own touches.

Comments are welcome, suggestions even more so. I like this thing and would like to know how to improve upon it.

Thanks for looking.

Cool Dude I like the Lightning effect alot, and thanks for including the link to the tutorial I grabbed it for a rainy day!

I like this as I love to use 3D models in my scenes however I found out as I'm sure you are that modelling anything in Bryce is not easy. Creating some types of simple objects in Bryce is actually real easy but complex stuff.....Anyway it looks real good. As far as improvements I think texturing the model and perhaps the ground plane also with a nice texture. The lighting looks good but try just for kicks turning off cast shadows for all the lights as all the shadows on the floor are so busy!.....Well Bryce is all about tweak something render it out to view the changes - repeat - repeat- repeat etc etc. Have Fun!

I agree with someole. The electricity is hella cool, but it does make the shadows look 'busy'. As far as the model goes awesome job for your first try, but part of me thinks he needs at least one more leg to stand on. Oh, listen to me, being all constructive criticism today...
